Foreign Policy For Change is a grassroots committee of private volunteers wishing to help the Obama Administration in a variety of positive ways. Views expressed by the group are its own and not necessarily those of the Obama Administration or other grass roots bodies.
- We try to directly support initiatives of the Obama Administration or by make our own proposals
- We initiate local discussions and projects to reduce tensions between cultures locally and better understand conflicts and issues. We have also discussed supporting projects abroad, if the resources allow.
Preorganization Days
Members of the Working Group live in several states and Europe. We intended to retain our ties to our origins; but also strike forward as an independent activist grass roots body in support of the current US administration.
Anyone can join the group, Democrats, Republicans, anyone at all interested in supporting the Obama message; but we are not a rubber stamp. The Obama Administration encourages independent thinking and constructive criticism. This is a hallmark of our group.
This website is the public space for the working group, which began operations in February, 2009. The working group was born in the Obama Campaign in South Riding Virginia and Loudoun County for Obama (LCO) groups, the second which was a major force in convincing Loudoun County, Virginia to vote for President Obama and remains a strong grassroots organization in support of the Obama Administration. Some of our members are members of LCO or the Loudoun County Democratic Committee, the official arm of the Democratic Party in Loudoun County, Virginia; but we are open to members joining from any county or state. Many do live or work outside Loudoun and Virginia.
